In April 2020, the Hellenic Aquaculture Producers Organization (HAPO) supported the #Cook4Heroes initiative, offering fresh, Greek farmed fish for meals intended for the medical staff of the reference hospitals of Covid-19 in Attica. For this offer, it has received an honorary distinction in an event that took place during the 7th Medical Tourism, Health and Wellness Symposium.
The Symposium was organized by the Med-Professionals Communication Group, ELITOUR, Hellenic News of America, with the support of the Attica Region and the Athens Medical Association and took place on June 7, at the Amphitheater of the Acropolis Museum, strictly observing all necessary measures against the spread of Covid-19.
The event honored organizations, entities, individuals and Government Officials who supported vulnerable and other groups during the pandemic, as well as doctors and associates of the Med-Professionals Network as a small token of gratitude for their contribution during this critical period. The award was attended by the Minister of Health, Vasilis Kikilias, the Deputy Minister of Demographic Policy and Family, Maria Syregela, the Attica Regional Governor and President of the Hellenic Health Tourism Council – ELITOUR, George Patoulis and the Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain, Nikitas.
