Tuesday 3 – Wednesday 4 October. With the participation of 20 member-states from the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, during the GFCM High-level Conference on MedFish4Ever Initiatives: Transformative actions to address new challenges, multidisciplinary panels explored challenges and solutions, followed by a high-level segment with ministers and representatives announcing commitments towards sustainable fisheries and aquaculture in the Mediterranean and Black Sea.
Ismini Bogdanou, Director of Communications and Public Relations, represented Greek aquaculture, in the panel discussion themed “Transforming our aquatic food systems: towards socially viable and ecologically sustainable value chains”. The conference was attended by the Greek Minister of Agriculture Lefteris Avgenakis, Marina Petrou Director General of Fisheries & Aquaculture and Stamatis Kampolis, Head of Directorate of Fisheries Policy.
The conference was hosted by the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights of Malta with the support of the European Commission.
