Tuesday 8 April- On Tuesday afternoon, an informative presentation was successfully held at LE MONDE School in Moschato, focusing on Greek aquaculture and the value of Greek farmed fish in the modern nutritional and environmental context.
We were honored to have with us Dr. Dimitrios Pafras, PhD Ichthyologist , who presented and spoke extensively on the significance of the Greek aquaculture sector. During the session, the role of Greek farmed fish was highlighted as a product of high nutritional value, with proven health benefits, contributing to food security, a low environmental footprint, and playing a key role in sustainable management of marine resources—in a time when overfishing remains a major global challenge.
Special emphasis was placed on the awareness and education of hospitality professionals about the origin and quality of raw materials — a crucial step for a responsible and sustainable future in gastronomy.
The presentation was supported by Fish from Greece as part of efforts to disseminate scientific knowledge and strengthen the connection between the sector and the new generation of professionals.
