A notable event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between HAPO (represented by Mr. Apostolos Touralias, President, and Mr. Ioannis Chekimoglou, General Secretary) and Diopas S.A. (represented by Mr. Symeon Diamantidis, President & CEO, and Mr. Ioakeim Diamantidis, Board Member). The memorandum aims to:
- Promote sustainable and responsible aquaculture practices
- Strengthen business synergies
- Foster collaboration and networking between HAPO and Diopas for mutual infrastructure utilization
- Enhance consumer trust in the products of HAPO’s Members
- Support the development of mechanisms and initiatives for informing employees and the public.
As every year, visitors enjoyed the culinary creations of Chef Konstantinos Vasalos, featuring fresh Greek farmed fish from Fish from Greece—gilt-head bream, sea bass, meagre, and red porgy. These dishes were accompanied by high-quality wines provided by Winery of Nemea.
From the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, the booth was visited by Minister Kostas Tsiaras, Deputy Minister Christos Kellas, General Secretary Giorgos Stratakos, and former Minister & MP of Heraklion, Lefteris Avgenakis. HAPO also welcomed Stefanos Kasselakis, President of the Democracy Movement.
