Recent Eurobarometer research conducted by the European Commission has revealed that Europeans are consuming less fish than in the past.
With the aim of bringing fish back into the everyday diets of Greek consumers through evidence-based, scientific and transparent information, the Hellenic Nutrition Society (ELDE) and the Hellenic Aquaculture Producers Organization are joining forces to launch a new awareness campaign highlighting the nutritional value of fresh Greek farmed fish.
The campaign will also showcase the role of Greek aquaculture in producing high-quality products that meet today’s nutritional needs.
Through a wide range of activities, including articles, newsletters, social media posts, competitions, events and talks, the initiative aims to raise consumer awareness and promote fish as a healthy and nutritious choice that deserves a regular place on the everyday table.
By combining scientific knowledge with reliable information, ELDE and HAPO aspire to encourage consumers to rediscover the benefits of fish and make it a consistent part of a balanced, healthy diet.
